Most questions about Neon Charades have the same few answers. If yours is not here, the contact form reaches us directly.
Tilting does not seem to do anything
The phone needs to be held roughly upright, in landscape, with the screen facing away from you. Tilt is measured from the angle the phone was at when the turn began, so a phone lying flat on a table has nothing to tilt away from and will not register.
Tilt the top of the phone down, towards the floor, to mark a word correct. Tilt it up to skip.
A word was marked wrong by mistake
It happens, usually when a phone comes off a forehead too enthusiastically. On the results screen at the end of a turn, tap any word to flip it between correct and skipped. The score updates with it.
The combo bonus keeps getting away from me
After three correct answers in a row the screen shows a direction and a countdown bar. Lean the phone that way before the bar empties. The window is deliberately short, and leaning sooner is worth more points than leaning late.
Remember the screen faces your friends, not you. Lean the way the arrow points as they see it.
I bought a pass and it is not showing
Open the pass screen from the banner on the home screen and tap Restore Purchases. The game asks the store what you own and works out the remaining time from the purchase date.
If it still does not appear, check that the device is signed into the same store account that made the purchase. Because the game has no accounts of its own, a pass follows the store account rather than the person.
Does a pass renew automatically?
No. Passes are one off purchases for a fixed period. Nothing renews, and there is nothing to cancel. When the time runs out the game returns to the free tier and you can buy another pass if you want one.
I bought a second pass while one was still running
The new time is added to the end of the one you already had rather than running alongside it. Buying a week while three days are still going gives you ten days, not seven.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google, not by us, because they take the payment and we never see it. Request one through the store that charged you.
Still stuck?
Use the contact form and tell us which device you are on and what happened. If it is a tilt problem, saying which way you were holding the phone helps more than anything else.
