One player holds the phone to their forehead and guesses the word while everyone else acts it out. Tilt down for a hit, tilt up to pass, and the round is over before anyone has time to overthink it.

The game
One player holds the phone to their forehead without looking at it. Everyone else acts out or describes the word on screen. Tilt the phone down for a correct guess, tilt it up to pass, and keep going until the timer runs out.
Rounds are short on purpose. The game is at its best when nobody has time to think, and the pressure of the clock is doing most of the work.
Decks
Six decks at launch: Actions, Animals, Food and Drink, Movies, Celebrities, and 90s Nostalgia. Each one is written to be actable rather than merely guessable, which is a different problem than it sounds. “Skydiving” and “Moonwalking” earn their place. Abstract nouns do not.
More decks are in progress, and the deck library is built so we can add them without shipping a new version of the app.
Around the table
Neon Charades keeps track of the players and the score across rounds, so the game runs without anyone appointing themselves scorekeeper. Setup is deliberately short: add the players, pick a deck, start.
Status
